New Motherboard

So, I cheaped out on my motherboard when ordering from pcspecialist... I'm looking to upgrade it now and I'm happy to do the physical install myself, however I'm not sure if I have to do a lot of pre-planning and sort out loads of licenses and codes.
Can anyone help me out here? Can I just go straight in and change the motherboard without a worry?

You could but it is a hassle, I would try to take a picture before you do it to check where cables are fitted in and check YouTube videos as well as the instructions manual. Any particular reason for a new motherboard?

I can't remember whether windows considers a new motherboard to be a new pc or not. If you have only got a OEM copy of windows it might be worth double checking it wont stop you from re installing it once you install the new mobo. If you have the retail copy then it shouldn't be an issue.

As for everything else software wise, I would assume you'll be ok.

Something to consider however would be your warranty, if you still have warranty left, PCS will only cover the components in your original build (obviously)?.
