New PC - Fan VERY loud - Solved thanks

Hi all,

I recently purchased a new pc from PC specialist, the first 2 hours of use were fine however, the fans started getting extremely loud.

I turned the PC off and came back to it today and upon turning the PC on they were immediately extremely loud, this appears to only be the three fans at the front. Additionally there is a beep when I turn my PC on every time, is this normal and how do I fix the fans?!

Edit: I have once again shut down the PC and the top fan continued spinning longer than the bottom two fans, something may be obstructing the fans however I can't see anything? (i'm new to PC's, having previously always used laptops)

Edit: 05/12/23: It appears the mesh in front of the 3 fans at the front of the case were touching the fans causing them to make a very loud noise.. I turned off the PC and gently pressed a pencil at different points on the mesh to push it forward, this appears to have momentarily stopped the noise. Is this a normal issue and are there better ways to resolve this, I'm very new to this if you can't tell!

Solved - thanks for your help and quick response time with my nooby questions all!

Please can you post your full spec from your order page and not just part of it.

Re the beep, that is normal - a single beep is just the computer completing its POST (Power On Self Test) checks.

Did you purchase Windows with the machine ?

Hi Bhuna,

Apologies I left that part off -

It came with “Windows 11 Home 64 Bit - inc. Single Licence [KUK-00003]” As a pre-built machine!

I have turned the PC off and at a guess I believe it’s the bottom two fans, this is due to these two fans coming to a fairly instant halt once the machine turned off, as if something is obstructing them? They sound very loud when the PC is on!

What are my options? Any guidance on checking the fan myself without having to return the PC, or is a return the best option?

Can you log into your account and post your full spec please as per that post.

PCS do have an open case policy so you are allowed to open the case and check that nothing has come loose etc in there if you think you need to.

Its usually recommended to check all connections, memory seating, GPU seating etc anyway really.

I have edited my post to show the full specification as you noted in your previous post.

It appears the mesh in front of the 3 fans at the front of the case were touching the fans causing them to make a very loud noise.. I also appreciate your quick responses yesterday! Thanks -

I have edited my post to show the full specification as you noted in your previous post. I have re-booted the PC and the same issue with the bottom two front fans being very noisy has persisted. it looks like the mesh infront of the fans may be touching the bottom two fans, is there a way to fix this?
Just adjust the mesh, may have come loose.

Appreciate the fast response, I pressed it forward with a pencil between the fan blades.. is there a better methodology as I assume this will be a frequent problem? Bar this, loving the PC!
You should be able to open the front and adjust the mesh. Contact PCS if it's not clear how to, but usually meshes are removable.

Noise has returned after 20 mins of use. I think i'll have to contact PCS or figure out to take off the front to try push the mesh outwards, it keeps inverting towards the fan..!

They're still open, probably better to give them a call at this time rather normal daytime hours.
