We love you Ukraine
What's your max budget?

The CPU and platform isn't optimal, you could do a lot better, likely with an AMD build.

Can you explain the reason for the drive setup? What are the 3 drives intended for?

IMO the only point of dual 2080 Ti's now is to take one out and put it away for safe keeping in case the first one breaks. There's no need for SLI nowadays unless it is a VERY focused use.

As above, the build is a bit all over the shop.

Ok so not really knowing what was required. My Budget is preferably £4000 including monitors.
I heard that sad was better to run P3D files from due to load speed.
I want to use 3 monitors but later on I want ot add 1 or 2 even 3 smaller touch screen monitors based around Air Manager. Extra Graphics Card?
I need to take into account that later on I want to run Flight Simulator 2020.
I would be grateful if this can be cleaned up. Appreciate any help.

Something like this would be MORE than enough. MS 2020 is going to be cloud based and is expected to be very low utilisation of the GPU. The 2080 Super will smash absolutely anything that you throw at it flight sim wise, it probably won't even get warm and I firmly believe it's massive overkill, never mind 2x 2080 Ti's. If you wanted to save a little further you could happily drop to a 2070. You're going to be hugly CPU bound with current flight sims, the GPU won't even breathe hard.

Don't buy dual GPUs right now to potentially run something you don't have. Wait until you are going to purchase the hardware then purchase the relevant hardware at the same time. Running 3 touchscreen monitors as controllers isn't going to need a 2080, or anything close to it.

Overclocked CPU, fastest you can get - Flight sim's love frequency. Hoping that the next iteration will be more GPU focused but you are completely covered for all bases regardless.

32GB of DDR ram - Overkill again, 16GB should be more than enough but I'm not sure how the cloudbased version will run. It may love RAM. 16GB won't be used with the current versions so you could easily drop this to 16GB and save. If it's required later then add it.

Storage is ideal for me but may not be for you. I know how insane the installs can get for the sims first hand. I have a 1TB drive purely for M$ Flight Sim x and a couple of other games. The SX6000 is crazy fast and will make a difference to the load times in the simulators of today. I don't think it will make much difference with 2020, as again it's mostly cloud based.

The H100i RGB Platinum is what I would recommend for an OC 9700k. If you want to go with the 9900K then I would up it to the H115i Platinum. There's no benefit with the chips as far as Sims go. The 9700 can be clocked a tiny bit higher and will produce a bit less heat, hence my selection choice. With the H100i RGB you have lots of RGB lighting so you may want to look at the 460x case over the R6. It would be a shame to have all this RGB and have it hidden away.

I think the rest is as you had it.

To be honest I expected that to be the case. It is very hard to know what you want to achieve and then know what to get to achieve it. It's good to have people willing to help.

The i9 runs a bit hotter and won't OC as high. For your intended use there is no obvious reason I can think to choose the i9. Simulators are single thread, frequency junkies. As much as they do use multi-cores & threads it's sparingly. One core always gets hammered and does most of the grunt so having those cores at the fastest frequency is always more beneficial.

You would have 2 extremely fast drives. The OS would go on the fastest drive which is the 970 Evo. You would want to have your programs on here as well, photoshop etc, just let Windows manage your software installation. 500GB is loads of space for Windows, Programs and working files along with a couple of games.

With Steam, you would want to set the SX6000 as your installation location for games. I'm presuming this is where you get your flight sims of course.

All your other standard files such as video/music/documents/etc would go in the conventional 3TB storage drive.

NB, the new (well, 'new', sort of) 9900ks CPU boosts to 5GHz on all cores without OC. If PCS are adding this to the OC configurator soon with a bit higher frequency still, could it make sense to go for that? In view of the budget.

It's already there in the standard build specs. It's a bit pricey though :D

Hi spoken to friend of mine and looking to the future the Intel i9 9900ks would be better. Can I choose this here?
Also he suggested using Noctua-D15 82.5 CFM CPU cooler fans. Any comment please.

PCS sell the 9900KS in the stock configurator, just not in the OC one yet. Perhaps as it's brand new they're not done testing the kind of OCs they can stably sell en masse yet.

As for whether it is really more futureproof, in theory it would be thanks to the hyperthreading, bit it depends whether your current anf future sims leverage that or not.

The H100i Platinum is more effective than the Noctua as a CPU cooler.

PCS used to sell that Noctua (which is like the Noctua they currently sell but bigger, with 2 towers and 2 fans). As I remember it, they stopped selling systems with them around the time of multiple reports on the forums of systems arriving damaged because of the effect of a massive cooler strapped to the mobo during transit. I'm sure it was fine in most cases, but whether it wasn't worth the risk or whether for other reasons, PCS stopped selling it. And the H100i etc is more effective anyway.

I don't see why it would help given your current use and I would be amazed if it makes any odds to FS 2020. Games just don't make good use of hyperthreading in general. There is next to nothing between the 9700k and the 9900k, other than synthetic benchmarking, an OCd 9700k is going to match 8 thread performance of the 9900ks so the only difference, as suggested above, is hyperthreading. Completely pointless IMO and doesn't help with any future arising to my knowledge. Did your friend mention why he was thinking along this way..... or is it because it sounds good on paper? If I thought it made any odds I would have suggested the i9 over the i7. The KS is simply a better binned and overclocked 9900k. My chip is effectively a 9900Ks due to how well it overclocks (5ghz without breaking sweat, up to 5.4 all core tried and tested).

With the cooler, the H100i Platinum cannot be compared to any air cooler that I can think of. It's better than most significantly larger AIO liquid coolers, completely tried and tested.

When OCing the top Intel chips you want some very good cooling in place.
