The PC that I got made from PC Specialist is having some issues. However this has only been happening over the last month. I've had this new PC for about 2months now. I first notice one of the front case fans sometimes slows down when my GPU is rendering. Last week my monitor screen went black, but the PC still had power, I had to turn the power off by the wall to get my desktop back on. And today I turned my pc on and heard 3 Beeps from the motherboard. However the pc still came on and everything seems to be working. I'm currently working on a 3D project so need to use this pc, I'm hoping I can finish this important project before I contact PC Specialist if the problems get worse or keeps happening. Any how here are the main specs of the pc.

Any suggestions on what maybe causing this problem ?

Assuming AMI BIOS, 3 short beeps indicates a RAM issue and with 64GB installed it's possible one stick is flaky and you only rarely use that location. It's also possible, since it's a new PC that something worked loose in transit (that does happen sometimes).

The first thing I'd do is open it up, pop each RAM card, and then reseat it so it's fully home.

Then I'd download Memtest from https://www.memtest86.com/ (make sure you download the right image for the media you plan to write it to), extract the archive and then run the tool in the extracted archive to make the bootable media. Then boot that media and Memtest will start running. Leave it running overnight, if there is even a single error reported you have a flaky RAM stick, so test them one at a time to isolate it.

Did anything special happen about a month ago before these issues started? A Windows update for example, or a driver update etc.??

Hi ubuysa sorry for the late reply. I will check the ram out with what you said when I finish this important project. Can't think if windows has done any update recently but I assume they will be one or two. I'm currently on my phone so will have to check when I get back on the pc. Today when I turned the pc on, it seems to be taking a little longer to boot up then usual and they was 5 shorts beeps coming from the motherboard this time around. Also it only seems to beep if the computer has been booted up from it been turned off for hours or overnight. I don't seem to get this problem when restarting or if the pc has been switched off for a short time?

This is starting to sound more serious, 5 short beeps is a POST failure. In your position I would phone PCS and talk these motherboard beeps through with them.

Ya was thinking that after doing a search on the beep count. Will ring them next week. Cheers for help
