Well, an SSD would be nice, but they are still pretty pricey.
What is your intended usage of the machine? May help people give relevant comments.

A few other points though, do you really need 2 blu-ray drives, only if you're planning on doing an awful lot of copying would you ever need two.
Do you need 16GB of RAM, that's quite a lot and depending on what you're using it for may be completely over the top :)

If you don't need those things I mentioned, you can probably upgrade the graphics card if it's useful for you.

Main use will be for video editing which will be quite a lot, last computer a DELL Studio 540 had 8gb of ram and it could slow down quite a bit when playing mp3's as well. Not sure about graphics card as i dont play games. Thought ssd might speed up OS including boot times.

If your dell was slowing down while playing simple MP3 tracks it wouldn't be a problem of insufficient RAM, the CPU was probably too slow.

The specification is a good starting point, consider the following though;

- Cosmos 1000 Case is HUGE! In my opinion you'd be much better off with the CoolerMaster Sileo 500 - it's cheaper, smaller & quieter :)
- 16GB RAM is a lot! If you really want 16GB then there is no harm in having it although I think you'd be ok with 8GB. Also, the Samsung RAM is more ideal for you as you won't be overclocking the CPU.
- The changes you made above should then free up money to spend on an SSD :)
- Oh I'd also look into upgrading the graphics card to the GTS450 - great video editing card!

CPU on Dell was Quad 9400 with 8gb ram, it was only ever a problem when i playing music and video editing.
