I'd recommend not buying it.
You have 2 slots for the RAM on the motherboard.
1 slot already has 1x8gb RAM
You have only 1 slot free.
If you buy 2x4gb, you will have to get rid of 1 stick of RAM. Because you have 3 stick in total, and only 2 slots.
If you buy 1x8gb you can just add that in alongside your existing 1x8gb slot.
And 1x8gb will cost about the same as 2x4gb.
Buying 2x4gb is a total waste of cash.
If you use CPU-Z the SPD tab will tell you what RAM you have and you can try to buy the same. Like I said in an earlier post
The RAM needs to be DDR3L but the part number on the SPD tab seems to be DDR3. DDR3L is like DDR3 but has lower voltage. Skylake CPUs are not supposed to have DDR3 RAM, because the voltage is too high and could damage the system.
So the SPD tab reading might be wrong.
I suggest you contact PCS and ask them to confirm:
1) that the RAM in your system is DDR3L rather than DDR3 (show them the SPD screenshot)
2) If it is DDR3L and the SPD tab is wrong, what exact model they used - so you can find where to buy something compatible.
it is DDR3
this is why i was asking about the RAM in the first place!never changed a thing.Did you make any changes before that error happened? For instance did you replace the RAM?
