New System emitting 4 beebs on start up

Hi,

My new PC is giving me four warning beeps when it is booted up.

I also got a this warning as well USB Controller Resources Exceeded.

Additionally, when the PC is powered off. If pressed a key on the keyboard, or move the mouse both peripherals light up.

Any thoughts?

I had the same issue, albeit on a Gigabyte board after I installed my RTX 3090. I disabled CSM in the BIOS and all back to normal in terms of start up beep.

That said, I didn't have any USB warnings. I would check for conflicts in hardware manager as listed above. Also, check all your chipset drivers are up to date.

If your mouse and keyboard are wireless then they can light up regardless of the PC being on. Alternatively, you may have a BIOS setting that allows USB ports to be on when your PC is 'powered off'. Remember, shutting down is not technically 'off'. To turn it properly off (don't do that) you need to shut it off at the PSU. Another option, is that if your keyboard or mouse is connected to the monitor, then same thing.

Can you list all the devices you have connected to your PC?

I looked up the USB issue and switched ports as you suggested.

The device manager is not showing any errors or unknown devices.

I'll check again for updates and try out your other suggestions.
