New to PC gaming. No clue on parts to add!!

Hi all!

Long time console gamer but looking to get a nice set up for my new house. My budget is looking like £5-£6,000 for the whole set-up (Desk, monitors, chair, speakers etc.).

Looking at this I think the PC would come to approximately £3,500. I'm leaning towards AMD Thread Ripper series but need some direction on what to look for.
I know I want an Ice-White lighting theme but no clue on anything else! Can someone point me in the right direction on how to select parts to give me the best experience when gaming for graphics/ FPS etc? Monitors; I'm thinking 144HZ is the way to go?

I'm a total noob and have literally no clue!

You've actually downgraded the cooler @Martinr36 suggested! You definitely want the Capellix one.

Apart from that, the upgrades you've made are not going to have enormous real-world consequence, despite the increase in price. The 5950X is really a rendering chip: it's slightly worse in gaming than the 5900X. The 3080 is amazing, but not necessary for 1440p 144Hz (even if you go for ultrawide, which frankly you should). The 3070 is ample.

Ultrawide 1440p 144Hz is really the best spot to aim for in gaming right now. After that the returns diminish and the price rockets.

Finally, a 1000W power supply is probably the most defensible upgrade you've suggested. It's thoroughly unnecessary, but that can be a benefit. 850W is plenty, but if you want to spend the extra it's not a bad call per se.

Thanks for your suggestions! Like I said, I have no idea. I just assumed 3080>3070 in general, but if it wont make a massive difference that then good.

I would recommend adding in a 500GB 980 pro to put Windows and programs on. You always want your OS on the fastest drive possible and with your budget a 980 is a no-brainer.
Bumping up the PSU to 850W is well worth it, it'll run more efficiently and cause less wear and tear if it's not constantly at near max output, and it gives a little headroom for upgrades as well. If going for the G9 monitor and the 3080 GPU 850W is essential, and going for 1000W wouldn't be out of the question either.
You can remove the arctic paste as the corsair coolers come with premium thermal paste pre-applied that does a better job than the arctic.

Nice, I thought that was just 1 big monitor. If I am able to split screen on that then great!
I couldn't find the option for the additional storage to put on OS.
