New Vortex III... missing hard drive?

Hello,

Received my Vortex III today and i noticed when i went into my computer, it only shows up one hard drive.. The 240GB Kingston SSD. I also put in my order for a 2nd harddrive, a 500GB Momentus XT Hybrid drive.. but that isn't showing up in My Computer? Did PCS forget to put it in? lol

have you actually opened up the pc and checked how many hardrives are in the case ?

You will probably need to format it

type in 'partition' on the start menu and then click the only option, then there should be a 500GB unpartitioned section, most likely under ''D:" but may be different, then right click and create new partition, then choose NTFS and then let it do its work, after this, it should appear in My Computer

These are not exact instructions as i cant remember off the top of my head but should give you a good idea on what to do

No, I have zero experiance with laptops, i've build 5 desktops from scratch over the last 5 years or so though. gues I could just try opening it up.

Thanks for the reply Wozza. I have found it and when i right click the only option highlighted is "Convert to dynamic disk". Should i click this?
