Unfortunately upon receiving my PC it wasn't all right as rain as I had hoped. :(
After installing the DVD Drive (only) and booting the machine up, it POSTed but there was no display on the machine and I could hear Windows starting in the background through my speakers. SO I booted it up again with the same problem, I tried this another few times and decided to disconnect the DVD Drive, after restarting 2 more times it booted up and the screen displayed an image. SO I turned it off again and connected the DVD drive and had the same problem.

My friend has bought the EXACT same build and is having a few problems with his not POSTing when the DVD drive is connected but when it isn't its completely fine for a few restarts until it fails to POST again. We've been doing a bit of googling and it seems there is a problem with Corsair PSUs and Haswell CPUs particularly when combined with the ASUS Z87-A motherboard.

The situation does seem to have resolved itself for me as I now have 1 SSD, 1HDD, Fan Controller and a DVD drive all connected without any problems at all..although my friend is still having his and has sent it back to PCs for testing.

His thread -> https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?31084-New-PC-has-arriveD!11!11

The only real gripe I have at the minute is that it took forever to go from processing to pre-production which turned out to be because the hard drive I had originally chosen was not in stock so I contacted PCs up and they explained but once they realised that I had removed the HDD the night before (thinking this may be the problem) the started building straight away.

It may be nice to see some sort of communication from PCs to tell you that an item you have ordered is not in stock and your order will be delayed a few days.

Comments and suggestions are welcome :)

I remember your friends thread, seems a very odd problem and not something I had encountered before. Glad your is up and running now.

I hear the comment about PCS somehow letting you know you are waiting for a part, could be a simple case for some folks to swap to a slightly different component to get a quicker build. Though from what I understand of the PCS the only real way of knowing (apart from calling) is to select the fast track option with the components of your build selected. it then will not allow you to select fast track if some components are out of stock.

Anyway, enjoy your new rig.
