We interrupt your regular forum browsing for this special report!

PCSpecialist: The child effect.

Over the past few weeks this reporter has noticed the increase in male adults browsing the forums regressing to an almost childlike state any time they order a brand new PC or Laptop. It all seems to start with what is called the design stage, where the male adult is lured into designing what he would call his "Dream PC" using a set of dropdown menu's to select what they feel is the sexiest part that will make their machine roar. At this point the mind has already started rolling back as the designer begins to oooh and ahhh like a kid at some cheap firework display as they read up on the separate parts and are then hit with childlike indecision akin to trying to pick between a "Freddo" or a "Taz". Afterwards they confirm their order and with either a complete disregard or ignorance to the financial aspects they then place an order. Some try to believe they can be patient and select the 10-12 working days and then end up with the "Are we their yet" mentality, while others select the fast track option which is like jumping the queue to the teacups at Disneyworld.

The next stage is the wait, where the grown men regress further into a childlike state. This reporter has noticed that some go as far as regressing to the "sleep and eat" stage where contact with other humans is minimal unless it is in regards to their orders, I have also noticed that some wake up in the middle of the night and repeatedly wake the entire household in their dash to get to their current PC to check the status.

Then their is the out for delivery stage where their masterpiece is on it's way. Most people suddenly become "ill" this day and phone in sick to work or just don't show up, however unlike ducking school, they are unlikely going to have the police come knocking at the door if a good excuse is non-existant.

When it finally arrives the transformation is complete, some even start imagining snow and Christmas trees as they unbox their brand new PC, taking pictures of everything as their parents refuse to come around to take the pictures for them telling them to "grow up". Some cry, others dance with Joy, but the outcome is the same...the adult male has regressed to the mental state of a 5 year old. Sometimes it lasts for hours afterwards, sometimes days, but the good side is that they eventually gain their adult mentality back and wake up one morning wondering where all the time has gone and where that brand new photo album has come from.

We can but hope that none of this has any lasting effects on the adults here, but one thing every case has in common is the thanks that these adults all give to PCSpecialist for their hardworking dedication to their jobs.

This is Kai121 signing off for his morning nap.

BAI!

The most important thing to remember is that Taz had caramel, and as such were always superior to Freddos (even though they are both called Freddo now...poor Taz!)
