No experience with pc gaming - any help appreciated

Finally decided to get a gaming pc however my knowledge is lacking. I’m after a pc that will still be able to play AAA games in 5 years. This is what I was looking at but any knowledge would be appreciated.

You can rebalance the build to get something that will give a better experience overall and futureproof a little more effectively.

1080p 60hz monitors are low-spec for a £1500-ish system. In a few years time, 1080p 144hz will be a bit low spec too tbh. 1440p 144hz monitors, with adaptive sync, will give a better experience overall through the higher resolution (sharper, more detailed image), higher refresh rate (smoother motion and gameplay), while freesync will eliminate tearing and smooth out stuttering.

The CPU and motherboard combo are expensive, won't really add performance, and aren't particularly futureproof either.

You'll want a solid state drive (SSD) in the system.

A better graphics card to go with the better monitor.

16gb RAM, with a higher frequency

An AMD R5 3600 would be a lot more balanced for this budget level. If you were buying a £2000 system and you already had the high end monitor, an i7 could make sense, but here all it really does is eat your money.
