just had the keyboard off my laptop as mouse wasnt working properly when the screen went blank now it wont turn on the power button lights up but nothing on scree its a samsung r519 on vista

Probably. Were you touching anything when the power went out? Does that model have RAM under the keyboard or any other PCIe cards? if your lucky it might be one has come dislodged.

You should always have it unplugged and turned off with the batter removed in the case of a laptop. So easy to short something out, or worse get a shock yourself if you don't do that.

yeah, do remember to only work on it when the power is off. Since its dead anyway, you can always fiddle with it and see if it was something that's came loose, I have a feeling its probably dead though.

I don't believe any harm was intended by GSL, but understand your frustration. Did you have any luck finding any disconnected cables?
