And straight to the point: Will I be able to replace the 2 port USB PCI card with this Firewire PCI card?

Firewire card: Lycom PE-107 PCI-E 2 Port FireWire 800 (1394b) and 1 Port Firewire 400 (1394a) Card

I appreciate that it needs a (4-pin) power supply, but will I need to buy anything extra aside from the card or should I just be able to disconnect the USB card, plug in the Firewire one and attach power cable from the PSU and then be ready to rock and roll?

Thanks in advance for your help folks. I haven't had a mooch inside the PC yet (at work) but I will do this weekend before I order anything.

Should be pretty much plug and play - I've removed the link as it was to a competitor site and that is not permitted unfortunately.

Sorry I didn't realise! Didn't think it would matter so much since I don't think I can get individual bits and pieces from PC Specialist (unless I've missed a link somewhere). :)

Thank you for the clarification though.
