We love you Ukraine
Are you looking to purchase?

If so, what's it for? If gaming, what kinds of games?

What monitor are you pairing it with, what resolution and refresh rate, or make and model if you're unsure?

I am purchasing for gaming and my monitor is just a regular 1080p monitor (I haven't checked the Hz or anything)

860 Evo SSD is extremely expensive for such a budget build.

The case is basic and will limit GPU upgrade options.

R5 2600x is more expensive than the 2600 but not really any better.

You're buying 2 x 4gb of slow RAM, which you will eventually want to upgrade to 2 x 8gb fast DDR4 RAM. So it's probably more economical, or at least less hassle, to just buy that upfront.

550W PSu will open out ore GPU upgrade options in the future.

Thank you so much.

Changes I made:

The SSD is now a cheaper
'256GB PCS 2.5" SSD, Sata 6GB (550MB/R, 420MB/W)'.

The CPU is now a 2600 and I have 16Gb 2 X 8GB RAM.

Finally I'd like to confirm that the case you recommended comes with a DVD player because It's just needed for general use

I would probably stick with the 2600X to be honest. It's only around a tenner more expensive but offers a 350mhz increase in clock, it also has a better base frequency. It's effectively a better binned, more efficient version of the same chip for not a lot more money. The 3000/3000X offerings definitely aren't cost effective but I definitely think there is merit for the 2600X here.

Sorry for the extremely late response. I might have forgotten a few things to add since I last replied.

Cheap case will impact airflow and exp. GPU upgrade options
Slow RAM
Slow and small M.2 SSD is a waste of your M.2 slot - frankly better to buy with no SSD and add one later.

Case is cheaper than I'd usually recommend but at least it has extra fan mounting points and a little room for airflow.
GTX 1650 Super is a bit faster than an RTX 580 and cheaper than what PCS sell it for.
And it won't be long before you can get those games for only a few quid anyway. Breakpoint you can already buy for a tenner on the Epic store with a voucher.
Drop the SSD, it's a waste of your M.2 slot. Add one as a future upgrade.
Faster RAM.
Find an external DVD drive - you can get them for £10-£15 on various sites. Shaves a few quid off versus PCS's price.

Are you sure I should because by the time it needs an upgrade I would've moved out the house and I don't know if my parents will even get those upgrades

So what are you using the PC for, and how are you using it?

Gaming for 1 or 2 years and then it is just an office PC? Would you not take the PC with you when moving out? (I did...)

Context will help give better advice :)

Gaming for at least 5 years and then can be used whenever I visit but whilst I'm not using it's an office pc

You'll be upgrading the system within 5 years. You'll want a decently sized SSD fairly soon after purchase, you'll almost certainly want an upgraded GPU within 5 years for demanding games, and the R5 2600x and 16gb fast RAM would be appropriate for a PC expected to do ~5 years of gaming and then office work.

Putting my reply in consideration would you think that I should still leave out the SSD?

Adding an SSD is pretty easy and within the scope of DIY upgrades for just about anyone :) Especially M.2 SSDs where you pretty much just plug them in and tighten 1 screw.

As for GPU upgrades, they're also very simple, and they're necessary over time as games get more demanding and you need more horsepower to run them without turning down the settings a lot.

Adding a new GPU is generally a case of detaching a cable, removing 2 screws with your thumbs, popping the GPU out of its socket, popping the new one in, replacing the screws, and plugging in the cable. There are 1001 guides online. It's not something you'll need to do for a while, but when the time comes you'll manage fine :)

Anyway, revising the spec above:
to have an SSD
and a DVD drive
PCS no longer sell that case anyway
they also no longer sell the faster RAM, only 2666MHz with those motherboards now sadly
