Octane II drivers

Hey,

So just this morning I received my new Octane II laptop. I've been having some trouble with drivers, or lack thereof. I obviously have the driver CD supplied with the Laptop, but as I have no optical drive internally or externally, I don't really see how I'm supposed to install them. I would have hoped that they'd come preinstalled, but that only appears to be partially true. For example, my touchpad works, but I can't change the speed/sensitivity of it, and my keyboard works to type this out, but none of the function buttons work, nor am I able to change the colour of the LED backlighting. It's pretty frustrating to be honest, and I'm a little surprised that this is happening, especially having paid close to £2000 for it.

Is there any way I can download them all? I have no access to an optical drive.

Many thanks.

Hello,

You can find your drivers available for download in the technical support section on the account home page > download.
To change the colour of your keyboard, download and install the hotkey driver.

Hope this helps.

Thanks.. but why are they not pre-installed? I'm waiting for delivery of an Octane II myself.. I assumed it would come with the necessary drivers already setup..
I've just looked at there is a big list.. I'm not even sure what some of them are for?

Such as number one?

The though of having to install 18 drivers to get the machine fully functional is disappointing.. I'd also be worried about screwing the laptop up if I do it incorrectly.. do they need to be done in any order?

Same happened to me.

Make sure you install the first 1 asap. As it was missing it caused windows 10 to randomly restart.

The backlight LED controller drivers were also not installed. Along with others. But the first driver is vital if you are using windows 10 and it is not installed

Thanks... I am disappointed to learn that they are not shipped with the drivers set up .

I know - they are supposed to be. I don't think they manually install them, so it appears that those that fail through their automatic process are not picked up. Some of the drivers listed are also optional, so they may not install those in either case.

My Octane 2 arrives tomorrow. I selected the 3 day processing option only because 5 days would have taken me into next week and 9-11 working days would have taken me to after the 20th December.

Anyway i wait with baited breath to see what drivers i will need to install tomorrow.

What do you mean re. keyboard full operational?

If you mean control of the backlighting - you need to install the hotkey drivers.
