Octane VI network issue

I am having an issue with my laptop's network interface which I will try to briefly explain: almost every time I establish a Wired/WiFi network connection, the PC freeze for about 30 seconds and then recover. Sometimes a solid blue/black screen comes up before recovering. No error messager are shown.

This is more frequent with wired connection and it also happen if I engange/disengage a VPN connection. The issue was happening even before I installed the VPN software.

I've previously contacted support regarding this issue but if any of you has previously been in the same situation and know how to sort this out please let me know.

Many thanks.
