Hi
Just wanted to know if there is a way to stop my old laptop from getting so hot.
Toshiba sattelite harman karman
Motherboard- 80c
CPU-79c
HDD-45c
These are the temps after about 30 minutes of use.

I've got the same laptop and mine does the exact same thing :)
I took it apart, down to the last screw, cleaned it completely. Re applied the thermal paste to the chipset cooler and CPU cooler. (Used expensive stuff too :/)
Put it back together and what do ya know. The thing still runs at about 60-70c at idle.
Not sure there is anything else you can do about it other than contact toshiba but I highly doubt it is still under warranty.

My one has been like that for a year so I wouldn't really worry too much about it.

Also, this is the desktop support section so this thread will probably be moved.
