With my new PCS Laptop on the way the question arises...what to do with the old PCS Laptop?

Selling it comes to mind on ebay after taking it back to "factory" settings.

Has anyone done this with a PCS Laptop and I suppose the question of Windows Licenses comes to mind?

It's not a problem to sell on a laptop with a Windows key on it. Indeed it's very common, and if it's an OEM licence (if it came with the laptop it probably is) then it's 'bound' to the laptop anyway.

In terms of doing a factory reset, you will probably want to securely erase the hard drive and then reinstall Windows and any appropriate drivers. Make sure you have those to hand before you start, ofc... :)

Old PCs can also be given to charities, or schools/colleges to use or dismantle for lessons, turned into some kind of home media server, etc.
