One Month Free Laptop Insurance Including Accidental Damage and Theft

I am slightly concerned about something. I bought a Vortex III and received it on 19th November last year. It came with the one month free laptop insurance including accidental damage and theft. I was told by PC Specialist in these forums that when the month ran out, I would receive an email from the insurance company. As far as I am aware, I have not received such an email to date and we are now in the middle of February.

Unless it accidentally went into my spam folder and I deleted it, I have not received any such email. Is there an explanation for this and am I still being charged for the accidental damage and theft insurance?

Just to be clear, I do not want to renew the insurance so can anybody explain the situation and why I have not received an email? Do I need to get in touch with them and what is the name of the insurance company?

Please can somebody clarify all this?

Thank you

have they charge you? was a direct debit set up?

Not as far as I know but I automatically thought because PC Specialist had all my details, they would pass them on to the insurance company.

There still needs to be an explanation on why the insurance company have not contacted me as PC Specialist said they would. I suppose the easiest thing to do is to drop PC Specialist an email and ask them the very same question.

Thanks

From experience, insurance for laptops and other appliances, I don't think it is possible for a third party to pass your details. The direct debit has to be agreed by you and they should also send you a confirmation that £x amount is going to be debited. As you mentioned the best thing to do is to contact PCS.
