Opinion on specs?!?

Getting a new PC switching from console over to PC. Planning on using it for gaming of course and streaming as well. I also make music but that doesn't require much specs! Any opinions or changes you would suggest not looking to spend anymore so just any differences.

I would recommend changing the cpu to a ryzen 7 3700x or 3800x im not sure about your wiggle room in budget but upgrading ur ram to 16gb 3200mhz would also be better and change the case to fractal focus g much better airflow for budget case also consider upgrading to 2070 super. Reason for ryzen cpu they have lower usage and can perform more tasks at once also they are superior to them as intel has very old tec

As suggested, an AMD build would be better suited. If you are absolutely fixed on Intel then just say as there's quite a number of changes I would suggest regardless.

Which Monitor do you have? What are you aiming for games wise? Is your maximum budget £1350? May be able to save money for similar performance but may be able to knock it out the park for not much more. Everything is dependent on everything else so the more information we have the better to advise :)

I currently have an ASUS Monitor 24" Going for games like sea of thieves, escape from tarkov and COD among others. Im not set on getting Intel just from what ive heard it was better so far I'm seeing its not from people on here lol

Also my budget is definitely 1350 but would rather a bit cheaper just don't want to get too cheap and not be able to do what I need it to do. This is my first gaming PC so im new lol

Do you know the model? With the monitor your graphics card will be bought with that in mind. You currently have a 1440p GPU selected, but your monitor can only do 1080p. Response time not important, just whether it's 1080/1440 and the refresh rate.

There's a few people on here with great knowledge who can help.

This guide is useful as well;

Its the Asus VS248HR. As far as I was aware because I will be streaming and gaming on the PC and not streaming a game being played on another console I wouldn't need a graphics card. So would I not require the 2060 graphics card does it help in any other way besides gaining the 1440p? Thanks again

I'm not the person to answer that. If you're gaming and streaming then more cores that Ryzen gives you will help with this. Scott will likely reply with everything covered. He's a legend

Perfect thank you have looked a lot more into it and planning on switching to the ryzen 9 3900 for the 12 instead of 8 which should help a lot for streaming as well!

This gets you where you want to be with an AMD build and that monitor in mind. You don't need the 2060 Super, that's a low end 1440p card. The 1660 Super is a high end 1080p card (over 100FPS). The 3800X will do a great job with gaming and streaming at the same time, the 3900X would be out of budget to do right unfortunately.

There are a couple of areas that you can save a few quid on. I would stick with the RAM personally but 3200Mhz RAM would be fine. This would be cheaper or you could have RGB.

With the M2 drive, I've opted for the fastest 500GB drive available. You could save a fair chunk of change by going for the PCS 500GB option. I wouldn't look at any other options in the list.

You could happily drop to the 1650 Super. Your monitor doesn't support more than 75hz so the 1660 Super is somewhat wasted. Saving the money here and upgrading the GPU next year with a high end monitor would make sense.
