Opinions on these PC specs

These are what the specs of my first, new gaming pc will be.

My wish is to be able to play VR games and most games at good fps.. as my current pc is an Optiplex 780 with a low end gpu. (I knew it werent up for the challenge..).

I dont really even mind how a game looks, but if I can make it look better, I'll always try that.

I have ordered this, and changed it thanks to a good friend who knew a bit more than me.

Also, I already have a 240gb ssd with me, so storage ain't gonna be an issue.

Hi there,

That's not an ideal build for VR, whilst the 5700XT is powerful, the 2070 Super would be better. It's also an old platform (2600X is previous gen chip).

If you had asked prior to ordering we would have suggested going down a different route overall. I wouldn't recommend the FrostFlow 100 either.

Cheers.
I can change the order btw.

What cooler do you recommend then?
Or should I stick with "standard AMD CPU cooler"?

I don't think you can, as you would need to change the "platform". I think you would need to cancel in order to change to a current day build. 2 mins I'll have a look at a spec.

I can't get it close to £1100 with the 5700XT. I would actually choose the 2070 Super personally, but understand it's a fair whack more cash.

The 3300X would save a bit more money on the CPU side of it, but there are times in VR where the extra cores of the 3600 would maybe come in handy. Something to consider though.

Thanks.

So I went through it and was pretty much happy with everything I've selected, aside from the cooler, which I've now changed to Standard.

I appreciate the help though.

I searched up and learned what M.2 SSD's are and that I could choose to have no antivirus software thanks to you.

Have a good day. :)
