Two minor issues:

Keeps waking itself up from sleep
and
the clock and date are off, and default back to another time after reboot

any ideas?

Keeps waking itself up from sleep

It will be a device waking it, the network adapter is a favourite. Uncheck the "allow this device to wake the computer" box in the network adapter properties.

Check your timezone setting

The time could be of in the bios? Not sure if changing it in the os would change that or not?
