you know whats just hit me? im going from a single core 1.6Ghz processor on a netbook (namely, the atom N270, inside the asus eee 1005HA) to a quad core 2.2Ghz processor! the speed boost will be immense

i just hope the usb 3 port does its job, because i have a good 500GB of stuff to go on it, i would have bought the 600GB SSD but it would have raised the price some £700 over my budget

Edit: i have a usb 3 compatible, 2TB external hard drive, with all my films on, ready to spoonfeed into my new hard drive

I'm having equal excitement at upgrading from a dual core 1.5GHz laptop with 4Gb RAM to a six core I7-970 3.2Ghz with 12Gb DDR3. It's going to be insanely quick. Ordered on Friday, still processing. Breathe deep, it'll still be two weeks minimum I think.

mine is a single core 1.6Ghz with 2GB ram running XP sp3 32bit, and its still pretty quick, but this one, ill be suprised if with all the games and stuff im putting on will slow it down, even to this level!

Mine was processing for 4 days (laptop), working days at that! Just gone into pre production. Fingers crossed it won't be long! :)

added a blaster sound card (£79) as i didnt have that option when i ordered it, and its no good having a laptop without a sound card, just hope they put it in the laptop, rather than letting me and my sausage fingers mess up everything inside it to make it fit

i walked 7.4 miles, up and down several steep hills. past two schools and a garden centre to pick it up, and i got a refund on my sound card, as they didnt have any in stock, i got the bus back (well, 2 buses actually) might post pictures later, and the guy who built it is really nice, looks like me but a bit older

I HAVE IT!!!!
