OS on new laptop.

Hi all. Just received a laptop today which in the build I asked for no OS. Obviously one has come with it which is windows 10 so PCS can do their tests. Is this a full version of windows 10 (obviously no key) What I am asking is if I purchase a key which I have found for a bargain will it work just like a retail copy of windows or is the OS PCS puts on limited? From looking through it it seems like it is just windows 10 but with no licence. Just want to make sure before I purchase a key.

Interesting to know it comes with an OS- just what I was planning. If you have a retail key for Win 7, 8, 8.1, 10 you should be able to activate it. You may need to call MS to deactivate a previously used key.

However if Win home is installed and your key is Pro or vice versa, therein lies an issue.

You can, of course, freely obtain Win 10 installation media.
