Overckocked Build - Help with Motherboard

I was looking into building an overclocked pc. Although it's not my first build, it is my first overclocked one. I was wondering which of these two motherboards would overckock easier/better.

Asus H81 Plus Mini-itx LG1150, or Gygabite Z97P-D3 ATX LG1150.

The build will have an intel I5 4690k, 8GB of ram and a GTX 970.

Thanks

They should both allow you to overclock your cpu but micro ATX boards generally have limited additional options for oveeclocking. What is your full spec? Is there a particular reason for overclocking the cpu?

The full build is one of the motherboards, an I5 4690k, a corsair Hydro H55 cpu cooler, artic thermal cpu paste, 8GB of ram, a GTX 970, a 650w modular 80 plus gold psu and a 1tb SSHD. The main reason I want to overclock is so I can have the extra power (cpu and gpu) in the future to save me from upgrading

I would go with the h80i cpu cooler but if it is just for gaming and general use the overclock is not going to prevent an upgrade when needed since the gpu is what may hold you back not the cpu. Overclocking the gpu will void your warranty and could lead to instability issues
