Helloo,

Wanting to get into pc gaming. Been waiting 2years cause of budgeting and just to scared to take the leap. Absolutely sh**ing myself

Budgets £2000,
Current monitor is a LG 29-inch Ultrawide,

This pc is for gaming and a little content creation like YouTube videos.
-Games. Gta 5 with mods, FiveM/Nopixel and VRChat with vr headset.

Not interested in rgb or flashy things, just looking for a simple tower with great air flow and easy dust management.

I've tried configuring pc's but I start overthinking on if I missed something or I overpaid on something I don't need
Any help and advice is much appreciated!

Thanks for reading and looking forward to any replies :D

Thanks for replying so fast.

2560 x 1080p and 75hz but I don't mind getting a new one if it isn't enough for the build

...and what about the resolution? 1080 or 1440 or 4k?

75hz is probably not the best experience for 1080 and 1440p nowadays. You'd really be looking at a 160hz+ monitor to get the most benefit out of a £2k build.

Yeah I'd recommend a new monitor mate, in your price range a good 1440p 144hz monitor should be the goal, I'll throw something together here

This is where I would go mate, honestly for VR I'd like to have a 3070 but it's not currently in stock so it's difficult to try and figure it out for the budget in the build. The 3060Ti should work admirably though

Left a few hundred over for a new monitor

Which VR headset is it you are running with? If it's the Oculus or something of that range then the 3060Ti will do a fine job, otherwise I would definitely consider either holding off for the 3070 or taking the hit on the 3070Ti.

I would also consider the £19 bump for the 1000w PSU to cover any future VR+GPU endeavours.

Planning on getting vive index with tundra full body trackers or the vive 3.0 trackers. Was just typing to say if its better to spend a little extra for a 3070ti?

The Valve Index? Not sure if you're getting mixed up or looking at future tech. The main ones in that sort of level are the Valve Index or the Vive Pro (Also HP reverb G2 etc, but just going from what you've said).

If it's either of the above, you'll want the 3070ti. I would save up for a bit to make sure you have all bases covered. Don't want to cut any corners with that sort of cash involved :)

Being a bit more frugal:

Note, the RGB lights can be switched off if you wish. It just so happens that some of the best options have RGB already on them :D

I always hardwire my computer into the router, I just think it's like putting wooden wheels on a Ferrari. If you're spending that money figure out a way to have the router either right next to the computer (What I do) or get an really long 50m ethernet cable and find a tidy way to route it through the house

Good plan.

I wouldn't worry about the trackers though. Unless your needs are more demo/convention/profession based. For gaming they won't really offer you anything.

Can't see it being an issue. The on-board wifi will still have an antennae.

Ah I see. I'll have to get in touch with my sp then, get another router put in upstairs. Thanks for the advice man!

No worries just an FYI Wifi routers can actually extend further going down than going up so it's always good practise to put them as high as you can. Better to have it upstairs than down anyways

The trackers are just extras for more immersion in VRChat, their 300 for a bundle I think so not to bad.

Ah okay okay good to know.

Thank you very much!
