Hello everyone,

So i am looking for any advice and help you may have for building a desktop computer just under £1200 (preferably under £1000 as I would like to buy a monitor at some point too- but I have a tv screen I can use for now until I have more money saved)

I need my PC to be able to handle Adobe Photoshop/Lightroom as I make edits/gifs/videos etc and currently my apple MacBook air is truly shocking and my all in one PC Lenovo desktop just ain't up for scratch anymore.

I am very impatient and hate having to wait a long time for things to load and save.

I also play/game on my desktop, i am an avid Sims user and download extra content + expansion packs, when i do this my computers always slow down, so i would like my new desktop pc to be able to handle a bit more custom content downloads. I also plan on getting TW3 for my new PC and Assassins Creed, so again I really do need the PC to be gaming compatible as well as video editing compatible.

This is what i came up with on this website:

EDIT: here is the URL (sorry i am very new to all this) https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/saved-configurations/amd-am4-gen3-pc/h9Pr9FMtRD/

I am not very sure on the storage etc, though i do know that i want an SSD with added HDD just not sure on what size is best for what i shall be using it for.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated as i wish to start buying components this week.

EDIT: updates as asked for-

monitor wise for now I'm just going to be using an old tv screen lol which is just your standard HD/1080p and i think when i purchase a new one i will more than likely just be buying a cheapish monitor screen that specs for 1080p (but i don't mind looking into 1440p either)

as for other usage, not really no. Like i said mainly be using for adobe software, maybe a video editing software as well as gaming. Otherwise it's standard home useage- with things like Microsoft office being used for work etc. And also a lot of social media streaming.
Thank you :)

If you’re as impatient as you claim, you’re definitely going to want to consider an M.2 drive to improve loading.

Standard questions: please can you edit your post to include the configurable link so that others can make suggestions/changes to your build? What monitor will you be using when you purchase, are we speccing for 1080p or 1440p? And will there be any other uses besides the photoshop and gaming you mentioned?
brilliant updated it for you now, thanks fo replying!

Hey yeah sorry guys, what I meant was I am trying to build one that's around £1000/1100 at a push, when creating one using this site it obviously went over, so I'd like to achieve something similar spec wise but cheaper please.

As I'm not sure where I can cut corners, etc. Like I could change the graphics card for a cheaper one but I'm not sure what will work with the motherboard etc ?
Thanks
