I'm not sure on the legalities but I think PCS (or a PCS staff member) has mentioned elsewhere on the forum that its 7 days due to PC Specialist PC's being custom builds. I'm not 100% on that but I do think that was the case.

Yeah it is 7 Days....most other companies are 14 days.

My local company have offered to upgrade my CPU and MB for free since I'm trading in my current ones, so I can't complain and it'll be alot more stress-free than paying for the shipping cost and possibly not getting the full £700 back.

The new CPU is a special order too, since I've gone over what I need it for. A new I7 as far as I know.

If I wanted to get a totally new Sytem in the new year then I could get somthing like this:

Cooler Master Elite 430 Black ATX Case
Intel Core i5 3570K Processor overclocked to 4.5GHz
Akasa Nero 3 CPU Cooler
Asus P8Z77-V LX Motherboard
GeForce GTX 660 2GB Graphics Card
8GB PC3-10666 DDR3 Memory
24x Sony DVD-RW Drive
1000GB SATA 7200rpm Hard Disk
600watt Corsair PSU
Onboard High Definition Audio
Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit OEM

for just £600 excluing VAT on another site.

If PCS offer this system ^ for around that price the I'll happily repurchase again in the new year.

I would point out that although you do get the warranty on the new components I would strongly advise you get in touch with PCS regarding this as changing out components such as the CPU/Motherboard may affect the PCS warranty on the other components too!

Good luck with whatever you decide though mate!

Thanks mate, yeah the company did say with the new CPU/MB I would loose PCS warrenty. It's my own risk though.

Even though this company is Guernsey best PC Specialists on the island, as they do full system upgrades and repairs. shame the systems themselves are more though....

Update: I've decided to stick with the current cpu and mb, I've recently overclocked to 4.4ghz and stable with ASUS suite. :)

Newer games run great maxed out! Old ones and a few new games not so great but 18fps which is perfect!

Many thanks for thoses who did help

Robert
