PC has arrived

My PC arrived today at the designated time so thank you to PC Specialist and DPD for that, I am very happy with the PC but it hasen't been without it's dramas. Firstly I noticed that the side fan was not connected and in my panic called PC Specialist who were very helpful and told me where on the Motherboard to fit this, so that was solved, although I must say whenever you remove the cover the fan connector always becomes disconnected so you have to fiddle around to reconnect it. Then when the PC was on I connected the LAN cable and to my horror there was a spark and the PC shut down. I feared the worst thinking that I had somehow short circuited the PC but thankfully it did boot up again. Then on the BIOS it came up with an error saying Overclocked Failed, however I was informed that this is normal when the PC shuts down unexpectantley.

Then my Son was playing a game and we got the dreaded Blue screen of death, but luckily this was resolved by updating the Driver software.
Finally my son wanted me to take my old Nvidia GT640 out of the old PC (which I must admit was a little bent due to the layout of the case on the old PC). After installing the GPU there was no response from this so either the GPU is now broken, I will know tomorrow when I fit it back into the old PC (which if it is, as it's less than a year old I will replace, under warranty).

Other than that everything is fine We even mananged to achieve 30 frames a second on max settings on Minecraft so that's not too bad for now.
Obviously I will at some point get a decent GPU, but just wanted to let you know how it all went. Now if you will forgive me I'm going to sit in a dark room again for a while.

Interesting when we increased the RAM from 1333 to 2400 Minecraft now plays at 60 frames a second on an Integrated Graphic Card?

Just reinserted the Graphics card and everything is up and running now, so very relieved now. I was inititally worried that I had either damaged the Graphics Card or the PCI Slot, so a big relief.

I was just being to gentle I suppose when I tried to install the Graphics Card and as a result forgot to make sure that the clip was fully engaged that is why I was initially worried that I had either damaged the Motherboard or Graphics Card. But now it is all working we are very happy with the PC, not that I get to go on it much my Son spends his time on the PC whilst I'm still using my ancient laptop. I did order all the possible fans you can have fitted and from my experience you can barely hear them on max settings so I don't think anybody should be concerned about noise if you do order a similar build and do opt for the extra case fans, which I think were only an addititional nine pounds. So glad I ordered the SSD as I do really notice the difference in boot up time with this and for the cost I would say it was definetly a good buy.

Obviously as I'm still using the GT640, I'm not really seeing the potential this PC can offer although at least my 640 is Black and Red so matches the rest. I do really want a 780 or 770 but just need to save up for these (frustrating I know). One minor thing to be aware of is the PSU can be quite sensitive which is a good thing I suppose but when I first plugged in the Ethernet cable with the PC on it did shut down the PC. But other than that I am very pleased with the PC and would recommend PC Specialist to anybody who wishes to own a PC made from quality components and allows you to customise the computer to suit your requirements.
