Now for the Issues:
I have had my PC randomly freeze and restart causing my monitor to go blank and then a loud beep would come from my Tower and then it would restart, when coming back on there would be several beeping noises emitted from the machine as well. I don't know much about PCs but the lights would stay on for the Tower, but everything else would seem like a normal restart. The thing is, this occurs when I'm using my PC mid-game, I play Valorant and Rocket League mainly on it, apart from that I use it for work activities.

It would also become quite laggy in-game, and when I exit the game to the desktop, it would still experience the same sluggish movements, I would manually restart my PC by clicking "restart" myself, but it would boot up still lagging like before.

My drives are pretty clear as I moved a lot of the files and cleared a bunch of clips and videos out of it so it's only around 50% full for the C: and D: Drives. My wifi is pretty okay as well, I use ethernet for reduced problems with the network, so I am not really sure what else there is to do.

Would be great to get some insight on this, thanks

Kind Regards,
J

Hey J,

Is there anything logged in the windows event viewer?

If you look in the Application And System folders, are there any errors shown? You can use the filters on the right to help sort:

If it were me facing an unstable system, I would consider doing a clean install (complete wipe) of Windows and reinstall latest drivers etc and see if the instability has been caused by software issue. If problems continue, you're more likely to be looking at a hardware issue.

But let's see if the logs show anything of interest first.

Was not sure how to upload the file as it was in XML and did not let me upload here, is this okay, or do you need it?

Ignore any errors with SCEP Cert enrollment or register with DCOM, these are not true errors. Can you post screenshots of any of the other errors?

Hi there,

As requested, not sure if this is what you wanted, but that's all the different ones that showed up

You're better off exporting the logs and uploading them here so we can take a look. Here's how to do that...
1. Enter the command eventvwr into the Run command box. The Event Viewer will open.
2. Locate the Windows Logs folder in the left hand pane and expand it by clicking on the arrow (>) to the left of it.
3. Right-click on the Application entry and select 'Save all events as...'. Choose a folder anywhere that suits you and a filename of 'Application' (an .evtx suffix will be added automatically).
4. Right-click on the System entry and select 'Save all events as...'. Choose a folder anywhere that suits you and a filename of 'System' (an .evtx suffix will be added automatically).
5. Zip the Application.evtx and System.evtx files together and upload the zip file here.

Even though you don't see a blue screen it may be BSODing and there might be memory dumps available. Look in C:\Windows\Minidump for any .dmp files with recent datestamps. Zip them up and upload that zip file to here.

It would also be handy to see your driver list. The easiest way to upload that is to do the following...
Open an elevated PowerShell session and enter the following command...

DriverQuery | Out-File C:\drivers-forumname.txt

This will create a file in the root of your C: drive called drivers-forumname.txt, upload that file either directly to here or to the cloud with a link to it here.

The loud beeping and POST errors has me thinking hardware or temperature issues. I would definitely post up the error logs, but do you have any idea what the CPU/GPU temps were when you got these issues? What is the CPU/GPU temp at idle on the system?

You can check this using HWMonitor (Free software).

Downloaded the application you mentioned. I believe the temperature when I had NZXT Cam to minitor it was around 40*C, sometimes it would raise to 50*C. But here are the temps as requested:

Idle temps are certainly OK, exactly what I would expect. I would leave the app running, have a game for 10 minutes and see what they read after that.

Don't forget the logs as well :)

Edit: I uploaded it to Google Drive, and will paste the link here, hope this is okay.

I'm afraid you have a RAM issue, you can see it clearly in the memory dumps. All the dumps are identical and the failure is the same in each...
Code:
FAILURE_BUCKET_ID: MEMORY_CORRUPTION_ONE_BIT
Are you overclocking that RAM? If so please return it to stock frequencies.

Download Memtest86 and use the extracted tool to make a bootable USB drive (it doesn't need to be large). Then boot that USB drive (you may need to modify the BIOS boot order to do that) and Metest86 will start running.

Allow Memtest86 to complete all four iterations of the 13 different tests. If there is even one error then you definitely have bad RAM. In that case, remove one RAM stick and test each on on its own to find the bad stick.

Hi there,

No I am not overclocking to my knowledge, I read and watched a few videos about that but it seemed quite complicated so i didn't dabble. I have an application called MSI Afterburner and it's set to 0 for the Core clock and Memory clock (attached).

As for the rest, I will try to do now.

That's the GPU, what about the CPU? Have you set any performance mode in the BIOS or have any software installed like Ryzen Master? Have you boosted the memory frequencies at all?

Oh, sorry about that.

No, I do not have that. I have Nvidea for my device driver updates, that's about it. I do remember doing something in the BIOS that my friend told me about when I first got the PC tho, how would I check that, I don't remember exactly what I did since he walked me through it.

So I did the test and erm, idk what to say.

If you download the report it will show you properly in your browser.
I don't really know what to do from here tbh :(

Have had a quick glance through that report and I am seeing a lot of "FAIL" in there. That definitely looks to be confirming a RAM failure....you could try removing one of the sticks of RAM and see if it boots, then if it doesn't swap them out as it could be a single stick failure.

From what I can gather from the Corsair website, DRAM modules comes with a limited lifetime warranty:

So the best advice would be to contact PCS direct about it...if that is correct they may be able to send out replacement RAM
Hi there,

Yeah, there was definitely a lot of red and fails to be seen. I have removed one of the two RAM sticks and am redo-ing the Memtest again, currently on stick 1, but there are already 600 errors on pass 2/4, so maybe it's this one that's faulty, I'll finish this test and then replace it with the other one and see how that goes. Quite time-consuming but I guess it has to be done. Hopefully, you're right and it can be replaced, because I haven't had this for long at all and can't really say I've moved it around for it to be degraded by wear n tear or something.

The BSOD Doctor
As above that's a fail.

It's good that you're testing each stick individually, but as soon as you see failures you can stop the test and try the other stick. Even one error on Memtest is enough to scrap the stick.

I would recommend replacing both sticks TBH, and I'd also recommend seeing whether PCS can supply replacements. You want to be certain you get the correct RAM for that CPU and they want to be a matched pair.

Agree, if one stick has failed, the ideal solution is to get a new pair, as they need to be matched. Hopefully PCS will support this once you contact them
