I currently have my PC, which has a 13amp plug, plugged into a 10amp extension. Will this have any adverse affects on my PC as not very well versed with the whole amp thing?

Am I best off just buying a 13amp extension?

It will be fine. Your PC draws nowhere near 10A. You need to be sure that the total load of everything plugged in to that 10A extension never exceeds 10 amps.

That's good to know! Why does PCs come with a 13amp cable if it never even exceeds 10amp?
I think it's to do with UK electrical equipment regulations. I'm not an electrician but I think anything that plugs into a 13A socket and delivers mains voltages to a device has to be capable of carrying the full 13A.
