Hi all.

Most obvious thing to check is if the power button connector has come loose from the Motherboard if you are confident checking that.

So just got off the phone and there sending me a new psu to try as it's semi modular and fairly easy to swap. Try that tomorrow and if no joy then might be motherboard.
The click you’re hearing might suggest a cut out on the PSU, so yes, that’s a good first place to try, fingers crossed!

Thanks! Removed now, rest in peace zip ties. Is there anything that could have caused this so I can try make sure doesn't happen again?

Just another quick question. The courier will need the old psu, so that's the unit and leads coming out. Should I hand over the plug as well do you think? I'd hate for them to refuse it because I've not got everything.

I’d hold the plug and just check the unit they give you in case it doesn’t have one, I would expect the power lead not to be included with the new one.

They’ll likely have a box for you to put it in when you hand it over so shouldn’t matter if the plug is separate.

Would they not send out the new PSU in the original packaging etc (ie unopened from the manufacturer)? As then it would come with the power cord etc? Or do they just send out the PSU itself but without extra leads etc?
Do they come with power chords? I thought that was a separate option on the configurator, maybe I’m getting mixed up with laptops.

Edit: it’s likely the option in the configurator is there more to specify if you needed a non standard plug.

Yes, think @Nursemorph is probably right in that power cable would be in the box.

I’ve used the same PSU since 2007 so can’t remember what in the box at all!

TBH I can't see PCS losing any sleep if yiu don't send the kettle lead back. If the really do want it (and you didn't send it) my guess is they'll just ask you to send it separately.
