Pc WiFi issue

Hi my son has the

STALKER RT INTEL CORE I5 ,8GB RA BLACK​

We have bt broadband and it’s the fast one but his pc lags and takes ages to load games etc, I was told his pc doesn’t get the 5ghz? Only runs off 2.5? Can you tell me if I need to buy a WiFi dongle to plug into his pc to convert it to 5ghz?
if not what can we do?

Thanks for your reply.. I can’t plug it straight in to modem it’s too far away.. so do you think just buying one of those options would work? I believe it is standard WiFi card that came with it.. on every other device we get fast download speeds on his pc it’s only half

Ok thanks! So if I buy the usb disconnect his WiFi card.. sorry as you can tell I don’t have a clue

ah I see.. so his pc doesn’t have Bluetooth at the mo would this also make it Bluetooth?
