With the above spec, boot time is approx 5 seconds to windows desktop. Difference between 2666mhz mem and 3000/3200/3400 is barely noticeable. Thats my two penneth worth anyhow.

That PC is worse in every way. I'm sure it does you very nicely, but a ~7% increase in cost you get way more from the current generation stuff: CPU, graphics card and, yes, RAM.

Pretty terrible build all things considered mate

11th gen Intel which are horrific

Dead motherboard standard so no upgrade path

Slow RAM by todays standards

Only one 500GB M.2 SSD for storage

Power supply that's basically for office computers and doesn't have a lot of juice for upgrade options

Extra fans that aren't required

Please consider the advice you are giving other potential customers. As much as I'm sure you are very happy with your purchase there are a number of unfavourable choices throughout your configuration. If you had asked for advice before purchasing you would have been steered in a very different direction, and have a better system all around for it, similar to how other users are being guided.

The only context you are offering with your advice is that it's good enough for what you want it for. My 9900K is good enough for what I want it for, and it does ok even by todays standards, but you're never going to see me recommend one to anyone as it's old & poor value.

Doubt it. More than happy with my choice and goes like a bat out of hell. Don't think I will bother in future and leave it to the 'Clique' instead.

I'm not going to argue with you, happy that you're happy. However, if you want to educate yourself, have a look at the reviews for your CPU or even have a look at comparisons vs the 12600KF just to see the massive gulf in performance vs price.

The 11 series Intel was absolutely panned across the board by all review outlets. That's what happens when you're out of the loop for years and then jump in without research though, whether you would be willing to accept that or not is your business.

Hi gigachip.
I am no computer expert but I did follow the advice I got on here and went with virtually the same build as specified by Steveyg
above (I went with the 3060 TI) but only one 1TB M.2 SSD so price worked out similar. Why don't we compare 3D benchmark scores and see if they do know what they are talking about.
I also had to go with a Z rather than B motherboard as they were not an option at the point I ordered but that shouldn't affect the results as the 12400F can't be overclocked.
