I require high performance as I'll be doing everything on this machine from gaming, VM's, video editing...you name it!

I have gone for the high-end case, will how much noise will be produced? Do you think it will be audible enough to be annoying in a quiet room??

And would you choose a different GFX card to the one I've opted for?

Thanks!

I think youve hit the nail on the head with this spec, i would choose a AMD *6 but thats just my personal opinion, i dont have any experience with the i intel series

Welcome to our forums :)

Great spec you've put together based on the new Sandy bridge processors!

With the additional cooling options the noise levels will be as low as possible, and the Cosmos 1000 also has noise absorbing foam inserts to help keep noise levels low. The graphics card is a very popular, powerful card, which is currently on special offer. However, if your budget permits an upgrade the GTX570 is better.

Thank you! I have made a tweak or two, including adding the GTX570 as a few friends made the same recommendation:

Am I right in thinking I'll have 2 x USB 3.0 on the rear of the case? How many USB 2.0 ports will I have at the front & rear?

Are you going to OC the 2500K ? if not drop the K. If so... up the heat sink :D

drop the small cav black for an SSD for your OS.

There will be four USB 2.0 on the front, eight USB 2.0 ports on the back along with two USB 3.0 ports on the back.
