Please check my spec for first gaming PC

Hi
I'm looking into getting a new PC having gotten more into gaming over lockdown. At the moment the family play things like Minecraft but would like to play Fall Guys (current PC won't allow). My son is getting more into gaming as he gets older so it'd be good if this could cope with any new, more demanding games released over the next few years. I'm also considering getting a VR headset, probably a cheaper option like the Oculus Rift 2 so would like it to cope with this if possible.
I've come up with the following spec. Is there anything I should be improving / is anything over the top? Have gone with AMD processor as I understand they are better value. Ideally would like the price to be £1200 or below, but can stretch to £1300 as shown, if the spec is likely to last a good few years
Thanks for any advice!

The 2070 is the lowest recommended GPU for VR, anything below that and you’re likely to feel extremely nauseous. If you can hang on and wait for the release of the 3060Ti and the 5600X CPU, you can order a system much better suited...

Hi that's great thanks agentcooper. I wasn't sure if the new graphics card would make that much of a difference, and didn't know about the nausea thing (I'm prone to nausea so that's very useful info!)
I think I'll hold off for a little bit instead of being so impatient

Yep, you don’t want to experience sub par VR and be blowing chunks over your lovely new PC 🤢

@AgentCooper I was just wondering, seeing as the Ryzen 5600X should be available to order today, and there's no set date for the 3600Ti graphics card, is there another graphics card that's either available or due soon that would do the same job?
Thanks!

For comparable, expected, performance to the 3060Ti you're looking at a 2080 Super (Very expensive). This wouldn't be a good buy as the new GPUs are out and performing WAY better than the 2000 series.

So, the next GPU you're looking at is the 3070 which will take you over budget.

If you wanted to order now, the 5600X and the 3070 would be the recommendation with VR in mind. You would want to look at a high end 1440p monitor to make the most out of it though (1440p 144hz, approx £300).

The 3070 would get you into 4k if you wanted.
