The second is

My budget is about 1000GBP.

I dont know a huge amount about components but the more expensive laptop has an i3 processor. Where as I can upgrade the cheaper laptop to have an i7 and it still comes in a lot cheaper.

I want to use the laptop for - 1) Blue ray movies (plus HDMI) and 2) Games - but it doesnt have to be all games on top resolution plus top graphics, just good.

Could anyone suggest what I should do. Also with a though about longevity.

Thanks

Godlike
nothing really apart from the features of the chassis and the gpu as the vortex has a powerful gtx460 gpu. the gt540 is also good but i would suggest for the gt555 as the gpu and cpu on laptops aren't upgradgable down the down an tends to get left behind in advancements.

both laptops will have no probs with what you require :)
