So I need to buy a new pc as my last one is dying. I'm mainly interested in music production and already have the audio card. So I've created an AMD build and intel build. Would be great if you could let me know if i've gone too far in a few places as a lot of it is a bit above my head! thanks

INTEL is DOA; you should avoid it!

Intel 13th and 14th Gen confirmed defective

So there's been a lot of upset gathering steam on the inter webs with intermittent games crashes on Intel 13th and 14th gen. Workarounds range from underclocking to disabling ecores. BUT, there are a lot of people finding that simply disabling hyperthreading is a proper solution. The findings...

I should add I also wasn't sure about the extra cooling as I read some comments that the cooling units in both specs can be a bit noisey and I've had issues in the past with internal devices causing noise with the audio device (as I like to record a lot of audio)

When you say you record music, what exactly do you mean? Digitising CDs or something else?

If you mean working in a DAW, which DAW?
