It's my first custom build, i have a 1440p monitor with g-sync( Asus VG27AQ) and i'm looking for a good 1440p capable pc. My budget is £1800-£1900. I don't know if i should get 5800x-3070 combo and upgrade the gpu in the future or maybe 5600x-3080 for more raw graphic power. I would really appreciate if you could give me some feedback. Also i'm not sure what case i should choose, i want a decent one but under £100 and there are not too.many options at the.moment. Thank you! This is what i came up with

Thanks for your reply. I want to use it for gaming only but i want it to be future proof, i'm thinking maybe in two years i will buy a new gpu to keep it up to date, that's why i choose the 5800x cpu. I don't know much about computers so i might have a wrong mindset. 3070 seems to be more suitable for AAA games like cyberpunk 2077

Thanks, i really appreciate. This build is amazing and it fits my budget perfectly. One more question: should i wait untill they add new cases to get a cheaper one?(£90-£100) they had some really nice ones a few days/weeks ago.

It's worth keeping your eyes peeled and seeing if any new cases come in. Your order will take a while so you could place it now and then swap a new case in whilst it's in the pre-production phase if you see any you like.

I’ve been saying it for a few weeks now but I fully expect a new range to be on the configurator within 2 weeks. You can put the order through with any old case for now and amend it to something better when the new ones come in, it won’t affect your place in the queue.

Regarding cases I've got an email from PCS 10 days ago: The Corsair 275R is being discontinued and is likely being replaced with the Corsair 4000 series cases, which are due in January/February next year.

Also, about 5600X: For the AMD Ryzen 5 5600X processor, we are likely looking at January for general availability.

I decided to make this order. It's a gaming computer i'm really happy with, i love the case, the cpu is strong enough for cpu demanding games like The Division 2 or world of warcraft(in raiding scenarios at 1440p ultra settings) or some video editing/streaming. The gpu is just fine for 1440p. Could you please tell me if i'll have any problems with the cpu cooler or if there are any compatibility issues? Thank you!

The H100i RGB Platinum would be a better cooler choice. And you can drop the extra fan, it's a bit cheap and noisy and your thermals should be fine with the case and cooler combo.

Looks like the system will cope adequately for your uses (y)

Thanks :) i's super happy with i. I already made the order so i'll peve it as it is, i don't mind it being a bit noisy.

You can still amend it without changing your place in the queue, I would strongly recommend upgrading the cooler to the platinum, the one you’ve ordered is a very old model, not software controlled and performs poorly compared.

Thanks, i'll think about it. I'm not overclocking so idk if it worth £30 extra

It's nothing to do with overclocking, it's about software integration and general cooling ability, it's just a far superior cooler in every respect. The one you've ordered is over 10 years old now. It's redundant for a reason.

I thought it's two years old :)) thanks, it's scary to even think about buying such an old piece of tech
