Please recommend a 144hz, 24 or 27" monitor with gsync

I'm speccing a new system right now with PCS and am looking to replace my ancient Acer monitor with a 144hz model to go with my Nvidia 1070 card. Unfortunately PCS do not specify which of the monitors they offer support Gsync, so I've been Googling back and forward to try to find one.
Firstly, is it worth getting a monitor with Gsync ?
Secondly, are there any offered by PCS that can be recommended or should I simply go to Amazon and buy one.
Budget is £200 to £400.

Thanks

PCS do stock the ASUS 27" ROG Swift PG278Q which is a 1440p gsync monitor and is supposed to be pretty good. That £549 though.

For 1080p gysnc, the AOC G2460 is supposed to be decent:

I don't think there are any 1080p gsync IPS panels sadly, and I think any other gsync monitors would probably be a good bit above £200 as well. £200 seems to be around the area you start finding high refresh rate monitors, and gsync is always more expensive.

If you can stretch to ~£500, the Dell S2716DG (1440p gsync) seems quite well-liked on these forums

I can only really share my experience with FreeSync, but it's very similar technology so I hope my experience can help you.

Personally, I've not noticed the FreeSync too much. I run 2 machines on this monitor, one that supports FreeSync and one that doesn't, Both still run the monitor at 144Hz. I can't really noticed any difference in smoothness between the two machines on the same monitor. Because the framerate is so high that small dips in framerate are unnoticeable. So the higher framerate is certainly worth it but FreeSync/GSync maybe not. However it's not really possible to get a high framerate monitor without one of the two and you will be paying a lot more for GSync enabled monitors. You'd still be able to run a FreeSync monitor at 144Hz with a Nvidia graphics card and with FreeSync being free and open source, there is a small chance that Nvidia may support it in the future, which is not possible vice versa as GSync is proprietary.

That's just my opinion, I'm sure others will have different opinions. I would say go to a shop and trial some but very few stores have demo monitors available with these kinds of features.

And if you search something like "best gsync monitors 2016" on Google, there should be plenty of lists from hardware websites and from there you can compare which would be best for you.

For reference my monitor is the Acer XG270HU
