I'm having a weird issue with what is likely the Power DVD software and was wondering if anyone could help. I've had my laptop (Vortex III, P170EM I believe) for about 2 years, and the Power DVD software came bundled with the spec I ordered as I got a Blu Ray drive. I have reformatted a couple of times but each time it's still worked fine. Yesterday though for no apparent reason, I was getting an error message that my graphics card was incompatible. I Googled it and saw that it was a common enough occurrence, so I downloaded the Cyberlink BD Adviser that's supposed to check your system for incompatibilities (which is stupid because it's been working fine for 2 years) and although it seems to only ever use the default GPU (doesn't let me choose in nVidia control panel).
Anyone have any ideas? Is there a way to perhaps force PowerDVD to use the nVidia card instead of the integrated? Optimus is such a pain.
