Please could you comment on this spec. It is for heavy duty photo editing etc, I'm not a gamer. I do want a very quiet machine.
I would like to do moderate overclocking. I have a machine at present which is going elsewhere, hence the need for the new machine in about two months time. The present machine is an i7 920, 12GB, which I have running simply setting BCLK to 166 instead of 133, giving me 3.48GHz and this works perfectly.
The price quoted is £1790. I tried it with an i7 970, 6 core, but the price shoots up to £2293! Do you think there is any likelihood that in the next two months that might drop a lot?
