Problem with headphones and laptop

Hi folks,

I've got a pair of Sennheiser HD 380 Pros and they are proper nice, but when I use them with my laptop they sound tinny and rubbish as if the laptop isn't recognising them as headphones.

To clarify it's not the headphones and they work beautifully with my ipod.

Any ideas?

How do they connect to the laptop? I assume just a standard headphone plug?

All drivers up to date?

you could have a play around in the "sound manager"

Yup all the drivers are new n' shiny, had a ganders at sound manager as well with no luck.

Please let me know if you resolve this Flucky...i am experiencing the same, and am saddened greatly...partly cause otherwise this is a great computer!
