Corona render works on CPU and RAM - sometime ram usage 100% during rendering

That's normal though, then it offloads to the scratch. Doesn't matter how much RAM you have, it will always go over at points, that's why you have a scratch drive for those moments. It doesn't mean it needs more RAM, only if you're hitting hard page faults.

Or do you not currently have a scratch drive? If so, your system isn't properly setup for a render station.

Not sure what more means more on what? We need a maximum budget? £400 extra maximum

That's not a max budget, that's a sum on top of some budget you have in mind, but I have no idea what that translates to? We'd need a max budget please?
