Prospective PC

Hi I'm currently in the (long, slow) process of buying a new PC. I have a strict budget of between £600-650 (as you can see below I'm finding it hard to stick to) and I need my PC for general stuff internet etc., lots of photos plus some low level editing and some gaming (Half Life 2 episodes, Portal, GTA's etc.) I'd like them to look nice on a 1680x1050 display, nothing too crazy. but I'd like things like GTA IV to run a lot better than on my current PC. Core2Duo 6750, GeFORCE 512MB 2600GT, 2GB RAM.

Any help would be most appreciated, especially if you can trim the cost anywhere?

you sir/madam already have spec-ed out a solid balanced spec, i wouldnt even think you need to change anything. well i would on one thing but thats your choice which is the psu to a corsair 650w which is alot more energy efficient and better.

it all my be over your budget but what your getting is real worth it and will handle your requirements smoothly :)

If you are going to change to the 650 corsair psu, you may as well get the 750 coolermaster one which is the same price. I guess you could opt for a better graphics card if you want better performance, but your current one will do fine for medium settings

the 6870 packs a good punch as the 560Ti even on high setting with some overboard things turnt off. its good enough :)
