No. The Plan does not affect your standard three year warranty. The standard 3 year warranty covers failures that occur while the processor is used within Intel’s published specifications. The Plan covers an eligible processor that fails due to overclocking.

I have seen that, someone posted that a while back. I assume anyone going into overclocking will have done some research, can't really think what you need to do to damage the CPU as long as you are sensible

I would point out this will be outwith PCS warranty, so I'd get in touch with them about it before you need to actually use it

But it is a worthy purchase if you're planning on delving into OC'ing especially if you don't have the best cooling.
