Not sure if it still applies but if your PC won't sleep it can be down to malware. Other than regular scans I sleep soundly knowing that the sleep operation works as it should

Just a quick and lazy check to see if there's anything untoward. If it doesn't sleep it doesn't mean there is malware, just something to keep in mind is all.
