PSU Blew

Hi

I've had my PC Specialist pc for 5 years, over the years I have added a new graphics card and few more hard drives, for the past couple of months I noticed the crackling/hissing sound from the CORSAIR 850W PSU (TX850) 80+ ULTRA QUIET PSU was getting worse, then last night when I turned it on it blew and it was like a firework went off :(

I dont know if the rest of my pc is goosed but I have ordered a new PSU to try and I should be able to pick that up after work today.

Should I just hook it all up and see if it works or is there a process for doing this?

The PSU I ordered was - COOLERMASTER G750M Modular ATX PSU - 750 W

and my PC specs are (or were if they still work)

COOLERMASTER HAF 922 MID TOWER GAMING CASE
OverClocked Intel® Core™i7 Quad Core Processor i7-930 (2.8GHz @ max 3.8GHz)
ASUS® P6X58D-E: DDR3, USB 3.0, SATA 6.0GB/s, 3-Way SLI
6GB CORSAIR XMS3 TRI-DDR3 1600MHz
2GB Geforce GTX 770
50GB OCZ VERTEX 2 SATA II 2.5" SSD
100GB OCZ VERTEX 2 SATA II 2.5" SSD
100GB Kingston SSD
1TB WD Blue hard drive
10x BLU-RAY ROM DRIVE, 16x DVD ±R/±RW
16x DVD ±R/±RW
TITAN FENRIR EXTREME DIRECT TOUCH COPPER CPU COOLER
Sound Blaster® X-Fi™ Titanium - Fatal1ty Professional Series

Any advice would be helpful.

thanks

JJ

Chances are everything will be fine but it is possible your PSU could have damaged something. Hook up the Motherboard and basics like the CPU and your OS drive with the PSU not installed in the machine and see if it will boot or even post. That way you don't spend an hour or more cable routing only to find you cant boot your machine.
