PSU/Power Cable not charging the laptop

Recently received a Vortex II 17" laptop. Has been performing amazingly, but just recently (last two days) I've stumbled across a problem.

The power cable, when plugged in, does not charge the battery or supply power to the laptop. The led that lights up for battery does not come on when plugged in.

Once it started working again for no discernible reason, but has since stopped. I am not sure if this is a problem with the motherboard, the PSU, or the power jack solder connection. I have opened up the back plate (touched nothing inside, just took it off for a look) and the solder points looked solid.

Does anyone have any clue what might be the issue? Thanks very much in advance!

I don't know if this will be relevant, but my setup is;
Processor: 17-2670QM Quad Core
RAM: 16GB 1333MHz RAM
Graphics: HD Radeon 6990M
Storage: 2 x 750GB 7200rpm WD Scorpio
Screen: Matte 17"
OS: Windows Professional 64 bit

Thanks vanthus, I have checked with a second PSU and you are correct, it is the PSU that is at fault, the laptop is charging fine with the other PSU.

I think it is not just the fuse as I have replaced that to no avail.

I'm unable to reach the PCSpecialist number as I'm in Ireland, but I'll send them an email.
